CURRENT NURSING STUDENTS –  gain practical experience gain clinical hours and be paid!  Nurse Technician (or Nurse Extern) openings are available for all shifts at Odd Fellows. Your schedule can be flexible to meet your college commitments, full-time, part-time and on-call openings.  

Hourly wage is $21.60 to $22.92 (depending upon amount of quarters completed within the Nursing Program and your tenure).  PLUS $3.00 evening or $4.00 night shift differentials.

  • Students enrolled in an ADN or BSN program can gain work experience within the limits of their education, but not limited to the scope of functions of the certified nursing assistant.
  • Receive clinical hours for work performed**.

  • As a Nurse Tech, you may only practice under the direct supervision of our RN / Team Leader.
  • Must have an active Nurse Technician License from DOH prior to hire (or active NAC License).
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID and seasonal influenza.  Pre-employment drug testing required.  

Nurse Techs may only perform specific nursing functions based upon and limited to their education and when they have demonstrated the ability and have been verified to safely perform these functions by their Nursing Program.

Skilled Nursing has many opportunities for using best practice in situations which require critical thinking and technical skills.

** The rules in chapter 246-840 WAC provide regulatory requirements for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, ARNPs, and NTs. These emergency rules remove barriers for license renewal for ARNPs returning to active practice and permits NTs to receive clinical hours for work performed while permanent rulemaking is underway. These amendments are necessary in response to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and the critical demand for healthcare professionals.


Pursuant to Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) Interim Final Rule 86 FR 61555 and the Washington State vaccine requirements under proclamation 21-14, long-term care staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 subject to such accommodations as required by law (i.e., medical, religious or pregnancy).
