We are seeking a Dietary Assistant for our retirement community, a senior care organization focused on ensuring the health, safety, wellbeing and care of our seniors. Full-time positions are available.

Starting hourly wage is $15.74 to 16.98, depending upon your experience. Step increases after successful 90-day introductory period and with tenure.

Odd Fellows is "a nice place to call Home" to nearly 230 residents in our independent living apartments, assisted living, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation area.  We have 3 dining areas throughout our property, plus a café. Will work 8-hour shifts from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, rotating schedule, must be available to work any of the 7 days of the week.  

During this challenging time, we are continuing to hire workers who may have been displaced from their jobs. There are plenty of roles in senior care that don't require certifications, and the work is rewarding, necessary and safe. We are still taking extreme safety precautions during this time.


~ Provide great customer service to residents in dining rooms.

~ Ensure all health & safety and environmental health standards are achieved and maintained.

~ Assist the Cooks / Supervisor and other team members with producing, serving and cleaning up for the breakfast and lunch meals.

~ Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching.

Duties in our dining rooms and commercial kitchen vary and include:

~ Set up dining rooms for meals, and clear and clean dining rooms after meals.

~ Serve meals and beverages residents and other guests.

~ Maintain a sanitized and orderly environment.

~ Set up individual meal trays for residents.

~ Load and unload dishwasher.

~ Help with preparation of main dishes, salads, sandwiches, desserts and other menu items.


~ Previous food service experience helpful.

~ ServSafe certification preferred but not required for hire.

~ Must be available to work any day of the week (rotating schedule).

~ Must be 18+ years of age (to work 8-hour shifts).

~ Ability to multi-task and work in solid team environment.


Food handler permit required within 14 days of hire. Background check and pre-employment drug screen are required.
